Your FIU Alumni Association's new installment of PantHER Stories highlights the different life experiences of outstanding FIU alumnae. These Panthers have a story to share, and we're here to help them tell it!

Take your lunch break with us for our FIRST PantHER Stories installment on Monday, March 22, starting at 11:30 a.m. We'll be talking with Karen Comas '07, MBA '11, Latina in Tech and co-host of Motherish Podcast, and Nikki Sapp Spoelstra '10, former educator, former Teacher of the Year, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

About Karen Comas '07, MBA '11:
Karen Comas '07, MBA '11 received her undergraduate degree and master’s degree in business administration at @fiuinstagram. She has been working at @facebook for more than seven years, after previously working seven years in Spanish-language TV. In 2019, Karen became a mother, and it was the single most life-changing event that opened her eyes to the beautiful community that motherhood brings. Becoming a mother is, in part, what led Karen to launch Motherish, a podcast about working mom-life and everything in between.

About Nikki Sapp Spoelstra '10:
Born and raised in Miami, Nikki Sapp Spoelstra is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, mother of two boys, wife of Miami HEAT Head Coach Erik Spoelstra, and former educator and Teacher of the Year. She graduated from FIU in 2010 with a degree in Art History and has worked as a gallery director and creative director for galleries in Los Angeles and Miami. Currently, Nikki is building her podcast The Know by Nikki Spo, which will launch in April 2021.
