Homecoming is here! Unleash the Panther Spirit!

Homecoming 2016 is finally here!

Join us October 16 – 22 for an exciting Homecoming week full of concerts, rallies, parades, tailgating and much more! It’s time to party with your entire Panther family and get pumped for the big game!

Over the past few months, our Homecoming Council has worked hard to put together an exciting lineup of events! There is a lot happening and we don’t want you to miss a moment.

Special highlights include:

Panthermonium
Get ready to roar at Panthermonium – the biggest live show yet! 2 Chainz, Lil Dicky and Makj take the stage on Sunday, October 16 at FIU Stadium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Free student tickets are available at the FIU One Card office. To purchase floor tickets, please click here.

Blue & Gold: Unleashed
BBC is getting ready for the big day with Blue & Gold: Unleashed, a homecoming pep rally, which will feature a special Trail of the Torch ceremony, at Panther Plaza/Panther Square on Monday, October 17 at 11 a.m. Enjoy a bounce house, a candy bar, pizza, and more. Event is open to all; no tickets required.

Unleash the Crown
Who’s going to take the crown this year? Find out on Monday, October 17 at 7 p.m. in the GC Ballrooms, when we showcase our Homecoming Court. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Event is open to all; no tickets required.

Caribbean Bash
Grab your Caribbean and Carnival gear and join us on Tuesday, October 18 at 5 p.m. in the BBC Wolfe University Center Ballrooms to enjoy a night of different cultures, traditions, performances and more. This event is free for students and $5 (cash only) for guests.

Trail of the Torch
This annual tradition is back by popular demand! Join the FIU Student Ambassadors as we light the torch of hope, knowledge and opportunity on Tuesday, October 18 at 7 p.m. on the FIU Housing Quad. There will also be food, entertainment, giveaways and a special concert hosted by GEICO. Event is open to all; no tickets required.

 Panther Prowl Comedy Show
Comedian Nick Swardson will take the stage at the
FIU Arena on Wednesday, October 19. Doors open at 7 p.m. Free student tickets are available at the FIU One Card office. Guests can purchase tickets here.

BSU Spirit & Soul Homecoming BBQ
Come get ready for the Homecoming game at BBC’s Panther Plaza on Thursday, October 20 at 12 p.m. Join us for great food, music, DIY homecoming shirts, and giveaways! Event is open to all; no tickets required.

Panthers Got Talent and Faculty/Staff Homecoming King and Queen Crowning
Our FIU family will take center stage at this year’s Panthers Got Talent show on Thursday, October 20 at 6 p.m. in the FIU Arena. There will be a winner for best individual, small group, and large group performances. During the show, the FIU Faculty/Staff Homecoming King and Queen will also be announced. This event is open to all students and employees; no tickets required.

LXV Lounge: A Blue & Gold Affair
Dress to impress at the Homecoming Dance on Friday, October 21 at 7 p.m. in the BBC Wolfe Center Ballrooms. This event will feature a fashion show organized by our in-house fashion club, Eclipse, as well as free food, drinks, and giveaways. This event is free for students and $5 (cash only) for guests.

On the big day, Saturday, October 22, there is also full day of activities:

FIU Proud Parent and Family Brunch
There is no better way get ready for Homecoming than with the FIU Proud Parent and Family Brunch at 11:30 a.m. in the GC Ballrooms. This event will include a catered brunch, as well as appearances by Roary and the FIU cheerleaders. To register for Parent and Family Day, please click here.

The Silver Pride Reunion Weekend
The class of 1991 will return to campus for Silver Pride Weekend to reconnect with friends and learn what’s next for our FIU. Join us at
2 p.m. in the Roar Lounge, our exclusive spot for alumni, friends and family, to enjoy food, drinks and family-friendly activities before the game. For more information, please click here.

Roar Lounge
Beat the heat during our exclusive, air-conditioned tailgate party! Join us at the
Roar Lounge from 2 – 6:30 p.m. There will be music, food, drinks, giveaways, appearances by the FIU Marching Band and much more. Be sure to arrive early to get a front row seat for the Homecoming Parade! For more information and to register, please click here.

Homecoming Parade
Floats, spirit cars, marching bands, dancers – there is no better way to get ready for the big game than the Homecoming Parade! Come cheer on your fellow Panthers and community members
at 2:30 p.m. The parade will start on East Campus Circle/Southwest 113th Avenue near Lot 9 and will end on Southwest 17th Street between the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center (WPAC) and the Blue garage. For a map of the full route, please click here.

Tailgate Village

Homecoming Game
Following the parade, let’s rattle the cage at
7 p.m. at FIU Stadium for the big game against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this! To purchase tickets, please click here.
