What do you love most about FIU and your involvement here?
I love the fact that FIU graduates the highest level of Latinx students undergrad, masters and doctoral level, as well as the location and the branding of the school.

What advice would you give to a potential donor who is considering investing in FIU?
Everything helps and you never know how much even a small gift will help each student.

Where has life taken you since graduating from FIU?
I have been able to continue to pursue my career in higher education on the West Coast and Midwest to help underserved students pursue higher education.

Why do you feel it is important for alumni & donors to stay engaged/connected with FIU?
FIU is growing and needs the support of alumni like us to keep going including mentoring, attending programs and sharing our experiences at FIU.

How did FIU prepare you to get where you are professionally?
FIU helped me understand the complexity of the Latinx community and see all the resources that an R1 Research Activity institution offers.

What advice would you give to students and young alumni?
Worlds Ahead can mean anything you choose. Be open to move to a new city, new state, new country, your home is where your heart is! Do not pass up an opportunity of a lifetime.
