A personal letter regarding Expand FIU

Dear fellow Panthers:

I hope all is well. I am personally writing to you today to inform you of the importance of Expand FIU.

You may be surprised to learn that FIU is the fifth largest public university in the country. Our academic programs continue to inspire excellence; our College of Law, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, College of Business, College of Architecture + the Arts, Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, along with many other programs, are being recognized around the country for being Worlds Ahead.

We lead the country in granting degrees to minorities, thus bringing access to excellence to thousands of families, friends and neighbors. Our graduates’ success will continue to be an integral part of Miami-Dade County and its future.

FIU is the second largest university in the state, and its main campus has the smallest footprint of any state university in Florida. The bottom line: to be able to continue to serve South Florida and the community we need to expand; we need more classrooms, research, labs and incubators.

Fortunately, FIU has a plan that would not cost Miami-Dade County any money, would create thousands of jobs and bring access to an excellent education to 54,000 students. Please take a moment and learn more at expand.fiu.edu.

I invite you to review this PDF that explains our University’s plan. Finally, I strongly recommend that you view the YouTube video, FIU in 2020. I am sure it will make you proud of who we are and the bright future that is in store for FIU and South Florida.

If any of you have any questions, comments or concerns, I am always available. You can email me at frank@fjpgroup.com.

In the spirit of Blue & Gold,
Frank
