FIU Alumni is pleased to announce the 2024 5 Under 35 Recognition Event. With the support of our alumni, we will select the recipients of the FIU Alumni 5 Under 35 award. These FIU alumni, ages 35 and younger, have made exceptional achievements and contributions to their professions. They exemplify FIU's core values of Truth, Freedom, Respect, Responsibility and Excellence in their personal and professional lives.

  • Who qualifies for the "5 Under 35" award?

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be a graduate of Florida International University
    • Must be 35 years old or younger
    • Demonstrates FIU's core values of Truth, Freedom, Respect, Responsibility and Excellence in their personal and/or professional life
    • Must be willing to submit a professional headshot and bio that can be published by the FIU Alumni Association and other FIU entities
    • Nominations may be made by members of the university community, including faculty, staff, students, fellow alumni, and friends of the university; self-nominations are not accepted
  • What dates will nominations be accepted?

    April 21, 2024

  • When is the recognition ceremony?
    September 17, 2024
