Legacy Scholarship

FIU Alumni Association Legacy Scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full-time during the fall semester at the time of disbursement. The applicant must be an enrolled FIU student. This special award is given to a student who’s an FIU legacy. A legacy is a student who has a parent, grandparent or sibling that is a graduate. Each recipient will receive a non-recurring award of $3,000. Awards will be presented at the annual Alumni Association Fishing Tournament.

  • Legacy Scholarship Requirements
    • Available to admitted undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled
    • Academic Merit: 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA at time of application
    • Legacy: The applicant must be a student who has a parent, grandparent or sibling that is a graduate of FIU.
    • Residency: Open to both U.S. citizens and students with permanent resident status
    • Enrollment: Applicant must be admitted as a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student at FIU and must be enrolled full-time (12 undergraduate credit hours or 9 graduate credit hours). Note: Students who have completed less than 15 credits at FIU must provide an unofficial transcript from FIU and official transcript(s) from the high school, college or university previously attended.
    • Admitted incoming freshman, current freshman, sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student standing. All majors are eligible.
    • $3,000.00 award is non-recurring

Panther Pride Scholarship

FIU Alumni Association Panther Pride Scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full-time during the fall semester at the time of disbursement, have exemplified school spirit and are striving to be World’s Ahead Golden Panthers. Each recipient will receive a non-recurring award of $1,000. Awards will be presented at the annual Alumni Association Fishing Tournament.

  • Panther Pride Scholarship Requirements
    • Academic Merit: 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA at time of application
