Ms. Myoushi Elnora Carter Jones was born in Madrid, Spain, raised in Europe, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Communication in 1982 from Florida International University. In addition, she is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington where she became certified in International Protocol and Business and Social Etiquette. Ms. Jones has been an Image Consultant since 1982, and is an active community member and businesswoman. The owner of Myoushi Enterprises and My Perfect Image, Inc., she helps others reach their full potential through the implementation to high quality purpose focused, and success-oriented seminars and workshops.

Ms. Jones has sat on the board of several organizations that deal with helping the youth and elderly of our community. These include Miami Bridge Switchboard Miami, Arts for Learning, Community Action Agency Senior Advisory Committee, Community Health of South Dade Foundation, Community in Schools of Miami, Miami Children’s Hospital Council, and the Coconut Grove Playhouse, to name a few.

Ms. Jones has been named Who’s Who among African-­‐American Women, and has been nominated two years in succession for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Black Business. In 2001, she received one of the National Association of Negro and Black Professional Women’s Business Champion Awards, and the 18thAnnual American Cancer Society’s Ten Best Dressed Women in Miami Award. In addition, she has received numerous awards and recognition for providing training and motivational talks to youth and adults throughout the State of Florida.

Ms. Jones has been featured on the Peter Jennings show, FOX network, the NFLs. Under the Helmet and Channel 4, 7, and 10 Miami News Stations. She is passionate about education and etiquette, and believes that, “Education is important to one’s success in life. Set goals and strive daily to implement them. But more importantly, remember IMAGE is 75% of the key to success. Always be aware of how you present yourself in public. Be mature, maintain a positive attitude, learn to speak standard English and a second language, and finally learn basic social etiquette.” Her thoughts on FIU, “The growth of the University has been phenomenal. I am proud to be a graduate and I look forward to contributing to the positive direction of our alma mater.”
