FIU takes on Western Kentucky in our Homecoming game on Saturday, October 23, at 7 p.m. ET. Leading up to the big showdown, there's a full schedule of alumni and family-friendly events to help you REIGNITE YOUR ROAR. See everything your alma mater has in store for you below.

ROAR Lounge

Before kickoff on Homecoming Game Day, grab a bite, visit with friends and fellow alumni, and cool off at the FIU Alumni Association ROAR Lounge, our signature Homecoming pregame tailgate! This family-friendly event features food, fun, a great view of the Panther Walk, and a special visit from the FIU Marching Band – everything you need to reignite your ROAR and get ready to cheer our team to victory!

Alumni U on Facebook Live

Join the FIU Alumni Association virtually on Facebook Live at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, and Wednesday, Oct. 20, for a special webinar series! Speakers include John Nykolaiszyn, Director of Business Career Management at FIU Business, and Silvana Massolo '04, Brand Strategist and Founder & CEO of Advertising Addicts.   • Panthermonium Concert (Saturday, Oct. 16)

    Panthermonium Concert feat. Swae Lee and T-Pain

  • Taste of the Bay at BBC (Tuesday, Oct. 19)

    Taste of the Bay
    Time: All Day | Location: BBC – Multiple locations

    Taste of the Bay is a chance to try out an array of dishes from local food vendors around our Biscayne Bay Campus. Stop by our featured restaurants with your friends and family and taste for yourself of all that the bay has to offer. Just let the vendors know you are participating in this FIU Homecoming event, and they will show you what they’ve got. There's something for everyone to enjoy!

  • The Uncaging, featuring the Trail of the Torch Ceremony (Thursday, Oct. 21)

    The 17th Annual Trail of the Torch will be hosted at this year’s Uncaging celebration. During this signature, on-campus tradition, our Torchbearers will carry and pass the torch, until we reach and ignite the Torch of Knowledge, Service & Opportunity in front of the Primera Casa steps – representing the importance of alumni giving back to their alma mater. The Trail will begin at the stage, where we will announce our official 2021 Torchbearers; and the FIU Student Ambassadors, the keepers of this tradition, will be ready to greet our alumni and community.

    The Uncaging is the ultimate spirit event during Homecoming week. Come connect and have fun with your family, friends and colleagues at this carnival/festival-style event. Enjoy great food, get energized with cool activities, dance a little with some music, and much more. We will also be crowning our Faculty & Staff Royalty at this event. Definitely a night to remember on the GC lawns.

  • Homecoming Reception at The Uncaging (Thursday, Oct. 21)

    Members of the President’s Council, FIU Alumni Association Board of Directors and Greek Alumni are invited to a special reception on the GC Lawns during The Uncaging. For more information, please email alumni@fiu.edu

  • CRAFT International Food and Drink Tasting (Friday, Oct. 22)

    Time: 5 p.m. | Location: MMC – GC Ballrooms & Surrounding Areas

    Join us for CRAFT, an international food and drinks tasting event in the Graham Center Ballrooms from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Now in its fourth year, the event has become a Homecoming tradition combining philanthropy and over 20 top-tier food and drink offerings in a unique ambiance. This year’s theme is Havana Nights. The event is open to alumni, faculty, staff, retirees and guests.

    This is one Homecoming celebration you won’t want to miss!

  • The Roar Report (Saturday, Oct. 23)

    The Roar Report is a university-wide talk show that will include multiple events to keep students, faculty, alumni, administration and community members engaged while raising school spirit and creating a sense of unity. Tune in to FIU’s twist on "Good Morning America" to see what Roary and his fellow Panthers have been up to.
