Member-only bounce-house party a success
More than 60 alumni and their children attended a member-only family event hosted by the Alumni Association on Dec. 16 at the Power Party Clubhouse.
FIU alumnus and co-owner Nelson Varona ’92 and his brothers David and Anthony Varona, current Golden Panthers, opened up their business free of charge in support of this event.
The Indoor Play Arena featured huge, air-filled play structures ranging from slides to bounce-houses and guests enjoyed free pizza, soda and great music provided by a DJ.
“We received so many great compliments from our members,” said Duane Wiles, assistant executive director of the Alumni Association. “For many it was their first-ever alumni event and they got to share it with their kids. We definitely need to host more family-oriented events for both adults and kids to enjoy.”
