SJMC Alumni Chapter receives charter from FIU

More than 50 alumni and friends attended the bash to see the chapter receive its official charter from FIU.

The School of Journalism and Mass Communication Alumni Chapter held its kickoff bash at Cielo on Nov. 7, drawing alumni who enjoyed an evening of fun, fine hors d’oeuvres and great company, hosted by Marybel Rodriguez ’00, a weekend anchor for My33 News and CBS4.

“It was great to see so many young alumni of the school in attendance” said Duane Wiles, assistant executive director of the Alumni Association. “I truly believe this will be one of our most active chapters within the schools and colleges.”
