Get involved in the Women’s Center Mentoring Program
“I had no idea that having a mentor could be such a rewarding and fun experience,” said Khela Stanley, a senior art major at the close of the 2006-’07 program.
The Women’s Center Mentoring Program matches FIU women students such as Stanley with an alumna, faculty/staff community member who serves as her mentor for the academic year.
The 2006-’07 program supported 96 women as they engaged in a relationship based on sharing experience, goal-setting and personal and professional development opportunities.
If you are interested in being involved in the Women’s Center Mentoring Program, contact the Center’s Associate Director Suzanne Onorato at onoratos@fiu.edu or graduate assistant Raquel Wright at rwrig001@fiu.edu.
